The 2014 PinGolf benefit tournament was a great success. The Mystic Krewe raised money to benefit “Project Pinball” and Children’s Hospital, hosting a team-based event that paired experienced competitors with casual players, encouraging sharing and cooperation. Everyone had a great time and the event was a sell-out.
The winners of the main tournament were Wes G., Mike M., Jake W. and Dennis W. We also ran a side tournament as well as 2 cashbox tournaments. The events covered vintage pinball games from virtually all eras including electro-mechanical, classic solid state, modern DMD as well as the new Wizard of Oz LCD game. Participants received IFPA championship points that make them eligible to compete in the upcoming state championships next year and get a chance to represent Louisiana in the National and International Pinball Championships in 2015.
This is the second charity fundraising event the Mystic Krewe has produced. The group plans many more benefits to provide resources to local charities and other organizations. If you are interested in finding out more about our group or becoming a member, see the “About” link on the main menu.
