PR about the Mystic Krewe and the PinChurch – feel free to re-use or re-publish this copy:
The “PinChurch” is one of the secret lairs of the Mystic Krewe of the Silver Ball, a “21st century social aid and pleasure club” that is one part social group, one part benevolent organization, one part makerspace and one part business incubator. It also houses a state-of-the-art broadcasting, recording and cybercast studio as well as the South’s largest collection of lovingly-restored vintage pinball and arcade games. The PinChurch was crafted from an abandoned church building that sat vacant and gutted for seven years post-Katrina. Nestled in an undisclosed location “in the New Orleans area” it serves as a nucleus for a wide variety of activities from pinball tournaments to classes and concerts.
